Self-Contained Type

Split Type

Below is a Diagram of a general installation of the Self-Contained Unit, notice how the vent can easily be fed out of a window.

This ventilation via the window is required otherwise hot air will just circulate around the inside of the room, and the conditioner will become ineffective.

All Air Conditioning units do need good ventilation, so please ensure that an external opening is available when considering one of these machines for yoursituation.

Below is a diagram of the Split type unit, notice the two distinct parts and in this case the exterior unit placed on a window sill.

Here is the same Split Unit but this time the connecting hose is fed through a specially cut hole in the wall.

Hire is for you if you want to have the comforts of air conditioning during the hot period of the year, but not the cost that goes with it. Or if you require some temporary heating in the winter months, or need if you require some temporary ventilation.

Two main types of mobile A/C units that we hire:

· Self-Contained Types

· Split Types

Self-Contained types require a discharge hose that is vented externally. Much like a Tumble Drier and can be implemented in much the same way. The hot air comes straight out of the back of the Air Conditioner and can be taken straight outside, via a Permanent Louver Vent or just hanging an exhaust pipe out of a window.
The Self Contained units are perfect for small offices or domestic rooms, because of the low cooling capacity of the unit (typically 2KW). These units are really only designed to cool one room at a time.

Split Types are generally larger in cooling capacity (typically 4KW) and are ideal for slightly larger rooms with more occupants, or for rooms that contain machinery/computers on a temporary basis. Split Units are also useful for Weddings or Parties, even in Marquees where the temperature can be very warm during the day. Split units are comprised of two separate parts, the compressor and the heat exchanger, connected via a hose that carries the refrigerant between them. The Compressor part of the unit is kept inside the room and the Heat Exchanger part is situated externally.

· Propane fired space heaters with a variety of heat outputs.

· Small oil filled radiators for office applications.

Propane fired space heaters These units are ideal for large workshops, warehouses etc.

Variable output 200,000 - 344,000 Btu‘s/hr (approx. 58.5 to 100kW)

Complete with regulator & heavy duty gas hose

Fuel safety cut out in the event of overheat, flame or power failure.

Approved to Calor, GS & DVGW standards

Small oil filled radiators Reliable, maintenance free room heaters with adjustable thermostat & useful frost watch function. Adjustable, thermostatically controlled heater output ensures that a consistent, comfortable room temperature is automatically maintained.

3 heat settings with thermostatically controlled output - 750W (low), 1250W (medium) & 2000W (high)

Max. input power - 2000W, 230v

Use as a main heater for rooms up to 40M³ (based on 2.5M room height)

Can also be used as an additional heater for larger rooms up to 60M³ (based on 2.5M room height)

Barrel Fans These popular and versatile air movers can be easily moved to any location where improved ventilation or cooling is required. It’s ideal for factory workshops, garages, warehouses etc where natural air movement is inadequate. Ideal for maintaining a good atmosphere.

250 watt, 230v motor with variable 3 speed control.

*We invoice hire charges on a weekly basis, the rates quoted above are charged as follows; the first four weeks you pay the week1 cost, after four weeks you pay the 4week hire rate, and after 12weeks you pay the 12week hire rate.

Will the units need to be looked after?

The Mobile

units shown here are ideal for relocation within your building, this means that you can cool down, heat or ventilate your rooms as and when they most need it. All of our units are designed to be plugged in to a standard 13 Amp Power Socket.

The propane heaters will require cylinder changes when empty, we can supply propane at very competitive prices and even arrange to change the cylinders for you during the rental period.
